In the fall of 2018 the Air Sea Heritage Foundation sponsored an expedtion to document two WWII TBD Devistator torpedo bombers. The project focused on the documentation of one of the planes known as the "Deep TBD" utilizing cutting edge technology such as photogrammetry, lidar/laser scanning, and 360 VR 4K video. In addtion to the Jaluit TBD's additional WWII sites in Majaro and Jaluit Atolls were documented.
